Workshop

Our atelier in the Allier

Our workshop stands in Brout Vernet, a village in the Allier, an hour's drive north of Vichy — deep in the heart of France. It is the beating heart of the Maison: this is where every piece takes shape, cut, saddle-stitched and finished by hand.

The craft

We work exclusively with full-grain vegetable-tanned leathers from historic European tanneries (Bridge of Weir, Connolly, Foglizzo), Lochcarron tartans for the linings, and solid brass hardware. Every stitch is passed by hand, following techniques refined over decades of saddle-making. No mass production. No compromises.

Craftsmen

Our team of French artisans — leather cutters, saddle-stitchers, finishers — has an average of 15 years of experience. Each piece passes through 4 to 6 hands before shipping. Every commission is signed and dated by its lead craftsman on a leather patch inside the piece.

Visit us

The atelier is open to clients by appointment. It is the best way to touch the leathers, see ongoing work, and meet Marianne and Mathis. It is also the ideal setting to launch a bespoke project: dimensions taken, leathers chosen, sketches drawn together.
